• About Me

    Hi! I'm Katie, a twenty-something Canadian girl crazy about books and coffee and you've stumbled upon my YA book review/talk-y blog (I'm assuming by accident, you were probably searching for something way cooler)! But, now that I have you here, hang up your coat and stay a while!

Top Ten Character Names I Love
This post has been sorted into "top ten tuesday" • 3 Comments

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly list meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

I’m Katie and I’m a Name Person. I’ve had baby name books for as long as I can remember and I read them for fun. This is been your Weird Fact About Me for the week.

Needless to say, this week’s Top Ten Tuesday was really extra fun. And because of my OCD, I had to add another boy name because it looked strange with only four so it’s Top Eleven this week.

Archer {Hex Hall series by Rachel Hawkins}
Finn {All Our Yesterdays by Cristin Terrell}
Nash {Soul Screamers series by Rachel Vincent}
West {Crash Into You by Katie McGarry}
Hale {Heist Society series by Ally Carter} this is technically his last name but I would totes use it as a first name.

Hadley {The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight by Jennifer E. Smith} – AKA My Favorite Name. If I had a daughter right now, this is what I would name her.
Isla {Anna and the French Kiss/Isla and the Happily Ever After by Stephanie Perkins}
Gemma {The Gemma Doyle Trilogy by Libba Bray}
Nora {Hush, Hush series by Becca Fitzpatrick}
Bea {Breathe by Sarah Crossan}
Auden {Along for the Ride by Sarah Dessen}

I totally forgot to add the name ‘Evie‘ from the Paranormalcy series to the list of girls. I love it so much, I named one of my new kittens after her!

    Haha I’m a name person too. I used to pour through books when I was a teen choosing the names I wanted for my future children and/or book characters. And I still have a giant name book that I use for naming my Sims. I can also see that you obviously have good taste. I love Archer and Hale for boys and Isla, Hadley and Auden for girls.

    Katie Reply:

    I have a name book for Sims, too! haha
